NEW YORK, March 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Technology entrepreneur and attorney Edo Ohayon is launching GetLawyerApp, the first free Smartphone app created by lawyers for lawyers. Ohayon has announced a crowdfunding campaign on http://igg.me/p/622990/x/5589873 that will enable attorneys and consumers to join in a revolutionary way for legal services to be selected in the United States. Donations will be accepted through May 7, 2014.
Yearly, 30% of U.S. households and small businesses use legal services despite challenges including selecting the correct attorney in terms of expertise and availability, and determining expected attorney and court fees. With 60% of internet traffic now cellular, GetLawyerApp enables lawyers to connect with clients in one click; therefore bringing legal services into the digital age.
From a Smartphone, consumers enter into the app what has occurred— a car accident, tax problem, immigration issue, criminal matter, or injury—and the app will analyze the need, determine whether there is reason for a lawyer and recommend up to five that match (location, practice area, price). GetLawyerApp simplifies life for attorneys as well. It sends lawyers the case in a professional intake form in which they input their fee and approach. The app then introduces the information to the consumer. By clicking on the link to the chosen lawyer, the consumer will make direct contact.
"Most people do not have easy access to legal services. The old system of looking through print ads or calling a friend is no longer efficient or effective. GetLawyerApp creates a dynamic marketplace that brings consumers together with the right attorneys at the best price," said Ohayon, who serves as CEO and lead developer of GetLawyerApp. "Indiegogo's network is a major component of our success strategy. As we connect with mid-market lawyers, we are confident they will benefit from this service."
For lawyers interested in contributing to the GetLawyerApp crowdfunding campaign, there are several major perks to doing so quickly. The first 200 lawyers to contribute will receive privileged access to new clients and 12 months of free usage after the pilot stage. They will also be able to share feedback of the app to improve its effectiveness. Rewards are also available for levels of consumer donations.
