Steve Palmer, Vice President of Lowe's Transportation, presented the award at the 2014 Lowe's Annual Global Transportation Conference in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Each year Lowe's recognizes and honors carriers that have consistently exceeded the transportation and logistics demands set forth by the retailer.
Lowe's presented the Platinum Carrier Award to Horizon Lines for achieving excellence in on-time service. It is the thirteenth consecutive time Horizon Lines has been honored by the Fortune® 100 Company. Marv Buchanan, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Alaska and Kelly Dennison, Director of Strategic Accounts accepted on behalf of Horizon Lines.
