Gary Travers to lead Human Systems International EMEA

Human Systems International today announces the appointment of Gary Travers as Managing Director of its EMEA business. Gary takes over from Tony Teague, who is retiring from the business towards the end of this year.

“Human Systems International is developing fast, and expanding into new geographical regions,” comments Tony Teague, current MD for HSI EMEA. “This is an important time in the history of HSI and I’m delighted that Gary has agreed to take the helm as we move forward. He brings a powerful combination of extensive experience, impressive qualifications, good judgment, and energy. Gary is well placed to contribute a wealth of insight across a range of sectors in which HSI operates, including technology, telecoms, services, aerospace, construction, utilities, transport, energy and central and local government.”

Initially qualifying as a Chartered Civil Engineer in the construction industry, Gary soon assumed program management responsibility and moved across into general management and business development. He has held senior roles in GEC-Marconi and the Macquarie-owned business Airwave, formerly O2, as well as program management firms Sweett Group and Alpha Corporation. He is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and holds an MBA from Warwick Business School.

Gary says, “This is an exciting time to be joining Human Systems. The business has world-class clients and an in-depth understanding of how organisations improve their project, program and portfolio management capability. By bringing leading practitioners together, and accessing over twenty years of best practice research, HSI’s knowledge-sharing network creates genuine thought leadership, helping individual organisations and the wider project management profession to improve.”
