SEOUL, South Korea, March 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2014 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition(2014MIECF) takes place in the expo hall at The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel from 27th(Thur.) until 29th(Sat.) for three days.
The opening event started with a VIP tour with a special guest from Macao SAR and Pan-Pearl River Delta Region at 10 am. Mr. Chui Sai On, Chief Executive of Macao SAR's inaugural address was followed by congratulatory addresses by honored guests from China and Portugal.
2014MIECF takes place under the theme of Energizing Green Business Growth in order to promote companies' environmental cooperation and their growth including green forum, green exhibition, green matching, green public day and other various experience programs on technologies. They plan to spread 'green spirit' on the topics such as 'Thinking Green', 'Going Clean' and 'Living Cool'.
2014MIECF takes a role as a platform for information exchanges, technologies and environmental business linking Pan-Pearl River Delta Region to the world market.
This year's exhibitions features 430 companies from 22 countries including Korea covering energy efficiency, new renewable energy, green building, green mobility, water and waste management solution, environmental services and more.
Exhibition is comprised of Pan-Pearl River Delta Region (PPRD) Pavilion, European Pavilion, U.S. Corner, Macao Pavilion, International Pavilion and 'Prime Exhibitors'. 'Prime Exhibitors' includes 12 Prime Exhibitors including Donasonic, BMW which are leading brands in a variety of sectors.
'Green Booth Awards' and 'Power compensation' are set in order to encourage booth design and construction companies who utilize eco-friendly construction materials. In addition, carpet in the hallway at the fair is removed so that the fair will become more worthy of the name 'Green Exhibition'.
On the opening day, March 27th, 'Green Business Cooperation Day' took place. 'Green Business Cooperation Day' was designed with 2 forum sessions and cocktail networking. Attendees such as related employees, governmental officials and academics from Pan-Pearl River Delta Region and Macao or from around the world, attended and spoke on current state of industry and forecasted future.
Throughout the event, for three days, buyer inviting programs and 'green matching' will be taking place. Green vehicles are available for test rides, allowing industry professionals and the general public in Macao to experience the joys of riding in electric cars such as Renault Twizy.
