PHILADELPHIA, March 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- McCafe® invites coffee drinkers in Philadelphia and across the U.S. to wake up and taste the free coffee. Beginning March 31, customers are encouraged to stop by their local participating McDonald's® restaurant for a freshly brewed small McCafe coffee during McDonald's first-ever national Free Coffee Event. Free McCafe coffee is available during breakfast hours starting March 31 through April 13 in participating restaurants.
"We're excited to share our coffee with customers," said John Durante, President, McDonald's Restaurants of the Greater Philadelphia Region Owner/Operator Association. "This is a great opportunity for them to try McCafe coffee and gives them another reason to come and see us in the morning."
To kick off the two-week campaign, McDonald's is offering Philadelphia commuters a special surprise with free McCafe coffee through a "Make Friends with McCafe" sampling event. The event will take place Monday, March 31st from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Suburban Station in Philadelphia.
Starting in mid-April, McCafe will also surprise a Twitter follower every day this year with McCafe coffee and prizes. Fans can also keep up with the conversations using the hash tag #McCafe or by following @McCafe and @McDPhilly.
McDonald's launched its McCafe line-up in the U.S. in 2009. DevOps has often been described in terms of CAMS: Culture, Automation, Measuring, Sharing. While we’ve seen a lot of focus on the “A” and even on the “M”, there are very few examples of why the “C" is equally important in the DevOps equation. In her session at @DevOps Summit, Lori MacVittie, of F5 Networks, explored HTTP/1 and HTTP/2 along with Microservices to illustrate why a collaborative culture between Dev, Ops, and the Network is critical to ensuring success.
