WASHINGTON, March 28, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is a statement by former Sen. Pete V. Domenici, a Bipartisan Policy Center senior fellow, on the passing of former Senator and Admiral Jeremiah Denton.
"It is with great sorrow that my wife, Nancy, and I learned this morning of the death of my former Senate colleague, Admiral Jeremiah Denton of Alabama. Sen. Denton was one of the most patriotic and heroic men I had the opportunity to serve with in my four decades of public service. He brought an experience and credibility with him that immediately established him as the kind of American who was willing to do everything he could to help the country, putting his own interests second.
"He always stood for the traditional values that have formed America's uniqueness and greatness. His life was the kind of life that made America a great beacon of hope and decency for tens of millions of citizens of other lands. His actions inspired not only a movie based upon his experiences, but inspired policymakers to remember to take into account the impact of their decisions on the fundamental nature of our society. I often turned to him as we discussed difficult issues in the early 1980s involving fundamental changes in legislation. I will cherish his friendship, decency and guidance deeply."

Much of the value of DevOps comes from a (renewed) focus on measurement, sharing, and continuous feedback loops. In increasingly complex DevOps workflows and environments, and especially in larger, regulated, or more crystallized organizations, these core concepts become even more critical. In his session at @DevOpsSummit at 18th Cloud Expo, Andi Mann, Chief Technology Advocate at Splunk, will show how, by focusing on 'metrics that matter,' you can provide objective, transparent, and meaningfu...
