Matt Argall Takes CCHR Experience Into His Current Business Ventures

MIAMI, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 03/28/14 -- In today's fast-paced environment where news are on the Internet minutes after they happen, everybody is accessible through their smart phone at all times, and even our free-time is filled with appointments, we sometimes need to stop, take a deep breath, and relax. Some people resort to yoga to bring balance into their lives, others mediate or keep a gratitude journal. There are numerous ways to relax and decompress even on the busiest of days. For people who are not quite sure how to go about it, the Citizens Commission on Human Rights of St. Louis is now offering a free public seminar, including lunch, on stress relieve and the correlation between physical stress and mental stress. The event takes place in a church auditorium in Missouri and will provide participants with helpful information on the topic.

The Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) was founded as a nonprofit organization that aims at helping and protecting consumers in the health sector. The organization, founded in 1969, set itself the mission to help with the implementation of more than 150 laws that were passed to protect individuals. CCHR is spearheaded by a Board of Advisors which consists of representatives of different professions including doctors, lawyers, scientists, legislators, educators, business professionals, artists as well as civil and human rights representatives. Members come from all walks of life, one of them is the avid entrepreneur Matt Argall.

A successful businessman from Florida, Matt Argall joined the Citizens Commission on Human Rights International as a teenager. Back then he was encouraged to pick an organization that helps the human kind and to support their cause. He chose the Citizens Commission on Human Rights with the aim to make a change in his community and help others. As part of his work for the organization, he started looking into their marketing department, especially the group's telemarketing efforts. He was curious to find out what successful people did in order to prosper in that field. Little did he know that this would be the beginning of his marketing career: He started out as the treasurer for CCHR and was later appointed their president. In his role as the treasurer, Matt came into close contact with people making donations to the human rights cause. Many of those donors were owners of various marketing companies, and Matt jumped at the opportunity to learn from their extensive experience.

Today, Matt Argall is successfully applying his experience with the CCHR to his entrepreneurial ventures. Following his parents' footsteps, who have established a chiropractic business in Canada and later two clinics in Florida when Matt was still a kid, Matt founded several companies himself. His business models cover a lot of ground, ranging from the gas and electricity industry, to a student loan debt consolidation system, to phone services. While some of his businesses in the past even brought him to Brazil, Matt is now looking into profitable investments on the US market. Recently he has been looking into various industries, such as those of mortgage lending, water filtration, and greeting cards.

Containers are changing the security landscape for software development and deployment. As with any security solutions, security approaches that work for developers, operations personnel and security professionals is a requirement. In his session at @DevOpsSummit, Kevin Gilpin, CTO and Co-Founder of Conjur, will discuss various security considerations for container-based infrastructure and related DevOps workflows.
There are so many tools and techniques for data analytics that even for a data scientist the choices, possible systems, and even the types of data can be daunting. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Chris Harrold, Global CTO for Big Data Solutions for EMC Corporation, will show how to perform a simple, but meaningful analysis of social sentiment data using freely available tools that take only minutes to download and install. Participants will get the download information, scripts, and complete en...
Too often with compelling new technologies market participants become overly enamored with that attractiveness of the technology and neglect underlying business drivers. This tendency, what some call the “newest shiny object syndrome,” is understandable given that virtually all of us are heavily engaged in technology. But it is also mistaken. Without concrete business cases driving its deployment, IoT, like many other technologies before it, will fade into obscurity.
Containers are all the rage among developers and web companies, but they also represent two very substantial benefits to larger organizations. First, they have the potential to dramatically accelerate the application lifecycle from software builds and testing to deployment and upgrades. Second they represent the first truly hybrid-approach to consuming infrastructure, allowing organizations to run the same workloads on any cloud, virtual machine or physical server. Together, they represent a ver...

IT data is typically silo'd by the various tools in place. Unifying all the log, metric and event data in one analytics platform stops finger pointing and provides the end-to-end correlation. Logs, metrics and custom event data can be joined to tell the holistic story of your software and operations. For example, users can correlate code deploys to system performance to application error codes.

Between the compelling mockups and specs produced by analysts, and resulting applications built by developers, there exists a gulf where projects fail, costs spiral, and applications disappoint. Methodologies like Agile attempt to address this with intensified communication, with partial success but many limitations. In his session at DevOps Summit, Charles Kendrick, CTO and Chief Architect at Isomorphic Software, will present a revolutionary model enabled by new technologies. Learn how busine...

Cloud computing delivers on-demand resources that provide businesses with flexibility and cost-savings. The challenge in moving workloads to the cloud has been the cost and complexity of ensuring the initial and ongoing security and regulatory (PCI, HIPAA, FFIEC) compliance across private and public clouds. Manual security compliance is slow, prone to human error, and represents over 50% of the cost of managing cloud applications. Determining how to automate cloud security compliance is critical...
WebRTC services have already permeated corporate communications in the form of videoconferencing solutions. However, WebRTC has the potential of going beyond and catalyzing a new class of services providing more than calls with capabilities such as mass-scale real-time media broadcasting, enriched and augmented video, person-to-machine and machine-to-machine communications. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Luis Lopez, CEO of Kurento, will introduce the technologies required for implementing thes...
Containers have changed the mind of IT in DevOps. They enable developers to work with dev, test, stage and production environments identically. In his session at DevOps Summit, Ruslan Synytsky, CEO and Co-founder of Jelastic, will review the current landscape of...
Electric power utilities face relentless pressure on their financial performance, and reducing distribution grid losses is one of the last untapped opportunities to meet their business goals. Combining IoT-enabled sensors and cloud-based data analytics, utilities now are able to find, quantify and reduce losses faster – and with a smaller IT footprint. Solutions exist using Internet-enabled sensors deployed temporarily at strategic locations within the distribution grid to measure actual line lo...
“In the past year we've seen a lot of stabilization of WebRTC. You can now use it in production with a far greater degree of certainty. A lot of the real developments in the past year have been in things like the data channel, which will enable a whole new type of application," explained Peter Dunkley, Technical Director at Acision, in this interview at @ThingsExpo, held Nov 4–6, 2014, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
