Robin Thicke Unable to Attend THE 2014 JUNO AWARDS

WINNIPEG, March 30, 2014 /CNW/ - CTV and The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) confirmed this morning that Robin Thicke is unable to attend and perform in the THE 2014 JUNO AWARDS broadcast. The multiple JUNO Award-nominee will no longer perform on the broadcast after being placed on mandatory vocal rest. Thicke was forced to postpone and reschedule concerts on Friday and Saturday night as a result.

"This is show business, so we're always prepared for this type of situation," said John Brunton, Executive Producer. "This morning's announcement will not impact what is looking to be a hell of a show. If rehearsals are any indication, viewers will be treated to a fantastic broadcast, and a few surprises as well."

Still scheduled to perform are Brett Kissel, Classified, Dean Brody, Gord Bamford, Matt Mays, OneRepublic, Sarah McLachlan, Serena Ryder, The Sheepdogs, Tegan and Sara, Tim Hicks, Travis Good and Walk Off The Earth. Additionally, Arcade Fire is confirmed to take part in the broadcast with the television premiere of an exclusive, taped performance from their tour.

Co-hosted by Classified, Johnny Reid, and Serena Ryder, THE 2014 JUNO AWARDS air live tonight, Sunday March 30 on CTV and CTV GO at 8 p.m. CT/9 p.m. ET (check local listings to confirm broadcast times and stations).
