"We look forward to welcoming Formula 1 fans from around the world back to Austin, Texas, for another incredible weekend of world-class racing and entertainment served up Texas-style," COTA President and Chief Executive Officer Jason Dial said. "Just two races into the new season, and we're already seeing the significant impact the new car designs and engines are having on the competition. You really can't take anything for granted this season. That means the F1 USGP will be another must-attend race for diehard fans, eager to see how the new cars take to our demanding track in Austin.

"The strong interest in our race isn't limited to long-time F1 enthusiasts. The huge party atmosphere surrounding the on-track action is a big reason why the F1 USGP has proven to be one of the most popular events on the F1 schedule," Dial continued. "We offer fans a state-of-the-art venue, which was just nominated as 2014's 'Sports Facility of the Year.' Drivers love our 3.4-mile, Grade 1 circuit. We surround our great racing with non-stop activities and entertainment for fans of all ages. And we make sure the celebration continues in downtown Austin throughout grand prix weekend with Austin Fan Fest, a massive street party that has become a fan favorite. The Formula 1 United States Grand Prix is one of the biggest sports parties of the year, and we're eager to show our members and guests another fantastic time this fall."

This year's highlights include a robust schedule of support races, an F1 driver showcase with free autograph and interview sessions, enhanced fan hospitality areas throughout the venue, and a post-race track invasion and concert in the Austin360 Amphitheater. Fans who make their travel plans early will find more affordable hotel rooms available through COTA's online hotel booking portal, http://circuitoftheamericas.com/bookaroom.

At the track, spectators looking for the best seats will again find them in the Main Grandstand and Turns 1 and 15. Seats in these areas sellout first, and fans are encouraged to purchase these seats now while inventory is available.

Reserved bleacher seats in the Turn 12 grandstand, a fan favorite due to its direct view of the Back Straight, which is the primary passing area of the track, are $499 for a three-day pass.

The natural elevation of the circuit's east side gives the three-day reserved bleacher seats at Turns 3, 4, 5, 9 and 11 breath-taking views of the on-track action, including the track's sweeping "esses," and this year are uniformly priced at $299 per person.

"We're a cybersecurity firm that specializes in engineering security solutions both at the software and hardware level. Security cannot be an after-the-fact afterthought, which is what it's become," stated Richard Blech, Chief Executive Officer at Secure Channels, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at @ThingsExpo, held November 1-3, 2016, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
In this strange new world where more and more power is drawn from business technology, companies are effectively straddling two paths on the road to innovation and transformation into digital enterprises. The first path is the heritage trail – with “legacy” technology forming the background. Here, extant technologies are transformed by core IT teams to provide more API-driven approaches. Legacy systems can restrict companies that are transitioning into digital enterprises. To truly become a lead...
In IT, we sometimes coin terms for things before we know exactly what they are and how they’ll be used. The resulting terms may capture a common set of aspirations and goals – as “cloud” did broadly for on-demand, self-service, and flexible computing. But such a term can also lump together diverse and even competing practices, technologies, and priorities to the point where important distinctions are glossed over and lost.

All clouds are not equal. To succeed in a DevOps context, organizations should plan to develop/deploy apps across a choice of on-premise and public clouds simultaneously depending on the business needs. This is where the concept of the Lean Cloud comes in - resting on the idea that you often need to relocate your app modules over their life cycles for both innovation and operational efficiency in the cloud. "Once customers get a year into their IoT deployments, they start to realize that they may have been shortsighted in the ways they built out their deployment and the key thing I see a lot of people looking at is - how can I take equipment data, pull it back in an IoT solution and show it in a dashboard," stated Dave McCarthy, Director of Products at Bsquare Corporation, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at @ThingsExpo, held November 1-3, 2016, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
What happens when the different parts of a vehicle become smarter than the vehicle itself? As we move toward the era of smart everything, hundreds of entities in a vehicle that communicate with each other, the vehicle and external systems create a need for identity orchestration so that all entities work as a conglomerate. Much like an orchestra without a conductor, without the ability to secure, control, and connect the link between a vehicle’s head unit, devices, and systems and to manage the ...
An IoT product’s log files speak volumes about what’s happening with your products in the field, pinpointing current and potential issues, and enabling you to predict failures and save millions of dollars in inventory. The Internet of Things (IoT) promises to simplify and streamline our lives by automating routine tasks that distract us from our goals. This promise is based on the ubiquitous deployment of smart, connected devices that link everything from industrial control systems to automobiles to refrigerators. Unfortunately, comparatively few of the devices currently deployed have been developed with an eye toward security, and as the DDoS attacks of late October 2016 have demonstrated, this oversight can ...
