Savor the Remainder of Ski Season at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe

Special Package at Mountain Resort Includes Lift Tickets and Luxury Accommodations

NORTH LAKE TAHOE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/01/14 -- Spring has opened its doors, ever so slightly, to put much of winter's wonders in the past. At The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, however, there is still more time to spend a few days on the slopes. The elegant mountain resort offers the best ski conditions in the area, and its vacation package offers guests a chance to experience a truly luxurious ski escape.

Available through April 19, 2014, the Ski & Stay package offers a selection of Lake Tahoe accommodations, including Deluxe, Mountain View and Club Level guest rooms or a One-Bedroom Suite; two one-day adult or child lift tickets to the Northstar California ski resort and inclusion of the resort fee.

Skiers worried about snow can rest assured that there will be plenty of fresh snow awaiting their arrival. Building on the ski area's existing base and great spring skiing conditions, recent storms have deposited nearly another foot of fresh snow, and more is in the forecast. The resort features 12 lifts, which gain access to 63 trails, four terrain parks and 78 park features. Guests of the resort, the only AAA Five Diamond mountain resort in California, can enjoy the convenience of a ski-in/ski-out mid-mountain location and dedicated mountain concierge services.

Following a thrilling day on the slopes, guests of the Lake Tahoe ski resort can enjoy an Après Experience in the Manzanita Bar, where each mid-week evening features unique offerings such as craft beers, bourbon barrels and olives and oysters. Retreat to the luxurious confines of a guest room, where a cozy fireplace offers the perfect spot to unwind, or enjoy a little pampering at the 1,700-square-foot spa, where treatments draw inspiration from nature.

The Ski & Stay package begins at $499 USD per night. To reserve your ski vacation, please visit www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Properties/LakeTahoe/Reservations/Packages/Detail/ski_and_stay_package.htm.

DevOps is under attack because developers don’t want to mess with infrastructure. They will happily own their code into production, but want to use platforms instead of raw automation. That’s changing the landscape that we understand as DevOps with both architecture concepts (CloudNative) and process redefinition (SRE). Rob Hirschfeld’s recent work in Kubernetes operations has led to the conclusion that containers and related platforms have changed the way we should be thinking about DevOps and...

The only way to get CICD to work in a highly secure environment takes collaboration, patience and persistence. Building CICD in the cloud requires rigorous ar...
Companies are harnessing data in ways we once associated with science fiction. Analysts have access to a plethora of visualization and reporting tools, but considering the vast amount of data businesses collect and limitations of CPUs, end users are forced to design their structures and systems with limitations. Until now. As the cloud toolkit to analyze data has evolved, GPUs have stepped in to massively parallel SQL, visualization and machine learning.

To get the most out of their data, successful companies are not focusing on queries and data lakes, they are actively integrating analytics into their operations with a data-first application development approach. Real-time adjustments to improve revenues, reduce costs, or mitigate risk rely on applications that minimize latency on a variety of data sources. Large industrial manufacturing organizations are adopting the agile principles of cloud software companies. The industrial manufacturing development process has not scaled over time. Now that design CAD teams are geographically distributed, centralizing their work is key. With large multi-gigabyte projects, outdated tools have stifled industrial team agility, time-to-market milestones, and impacted P&L stakeholders.

Enterprises are adopting Kubernetes to accelerate the development and the delivery of cloud-native applications. However, sharing a Kubernetes cluster between members of the same team can be challenging. And, sharing clusters across multiple teams is even harder.
