Instant Krazy Glue Kicks Off the 2014 Krazy Big Fix Contest on April 13th

Receiving One Submission Every Two Minutes, KrazyBigFix.com Celebrates America's Ordinary, Ingenious and "Krazy" Success Stories With Monthly Prizes and a Grand Prize of $40,000

COLUMBUS, OH -- (Marketwired) -- 04/02/14 -- There's no need to be wary of the saying, "If you break it, you buy it" any longer. Rather, just fix it. Instant Krazy Glue®, America's No. 1 instant adhesive, has been repairing life's little emergencies since 1973. Inspired by the ingenious ways its products have been used to save the day, Krazy Glue launched The Krazy Big Fix Contest in 2013 and invited people to submit their "krazy big fixes" for a chance to win $40,000.

Between March through December of 2013, 199,350 unique fixes were submitted to KrazyBigFix.com, which equaled approximately one submission every two minutes. From furniture fixes, to holiday ornament rescues, to outdoor upkeep, to tech-savvy cell phone and tablet saves, to the truly "krazy," such as a pair of shorts made out of toasted bread, Americans demonstrated how this iconic brand saves the day from life's mishaps and emergencies instantly.

Household Fixes, Personal Care, such as eyewear and broken shoes, and Automotive Aesthetic Repairs were the top three categories submitted.

Clyde A. of Denmark, Wisconsin took home 2013's $40,000 grand prize. Clyde repaired the cracked frames on his eyeglasses, confirming yet again that Krazy Glue can be trusted for even the most delicate and important fixes in your life.

  • April's winner saved a sunny day when she fixed a crack in her swimming pool with Krazy Glue.

  • May's winner used Krazy Glue to glue her television stand before a big move and declared, "Krazy Glue was stronger than my electric drill!"

  • Krazy Glue put July's winner back in business and showcased the unparalleled precision of Krazy Glue's applicators, "I am a professional tailor and often work long hours. One night while sewing fast, I broke a rare and imported double needle that was necessary for my project to be complete. Few drops of Krazy Glue and the many tiny pieces were back in place, and the mistake was no more!"

  • December's winner, Ivan, proved that wherever life takes you, Krazy Glue is your handy, just-in-case weapon to tackle repairs even when you're on the go, by repairing his granddaughter's sunglasses while they were at the Miami Dolphins vs New England Patriots game.

2014's Krazy Big Fix contest is scheduled to kick off April 13th. Monthly prize winners are selected at random, and a grand cash prize of $40,000 will be awarded to one lucky participant. Participants can submit as many fixes as they want, as often as they want, to increase their chances of winning. Beginning April 13th, entries can be submitted through a variety of digital and social channels, including online at www.krazybigfix.com, uploading to Instagram or tweeting with the hashtag #KrazyBigFix, with a photo and brief details about the fix.

When growing capacity and power in the data center, the architectural trade-offs between server scale-up vs. scale-out continue to be debated. Both approaches are valid: scale-out adds multiple, smaller servers running in a distributed computing model, while scale-up adds fewer, more powerful servers that are capable of running larger workloads. It’s worth noting that there are additional, unique advantages that scale-up architectures offer. One big advantage is large memory and compute capacity...
