Meggitt Training Systems continues growth in Australia with new police force contracts

Meggitt Training Systems recently announced the completion of an engagement to identify and propose specific virtual training solutions for multiple Australian police forces. These contracts, totaling several million dollars, increase Meggitt’s virtual training presence across the country and include opportunities for follow-on sales and post-award support. Once the new systems are delivered and installed in May/June 2014, three of Australia’s eight states and territories and the Australian Defence Force will be training with Meggitt’s virtual simulation systems.

Meggitt received orders for FATS® virtual simulation training systems and weapons from the Northern Territory Police and the Victoria Police in the fall of 2013. The customized virtual training solutions will prepare their personnel for operational service in a diverse environment by using the latest technology to train, practice and assess their judgmental and marksmanship tactics, techniques and procedures. Deliverables include FATS® L7 and Small Arms Trainers, BlueFire® Glock and Smith & Wesson smart weapon simulators.
