WAECO ASC 2500 Low Emission

On the Safe Side

EMSDETTEN, GERMANY -- (Marketwired) -- 04/03/14 -- According to the latest Eurobarometer poll of the European Commission, 95 percent of EU citizens say that environmental protection, sustainable economic management and responsible use of natural resources are issues close to their hearts. Applied to the service on automotive A/C systems, this heartfelt wish translates into the goal to prevent the emission of climate damaging gases and reduce the cost of A/C service. Both challenges are perfectly met by the ASC 2500 Low Emission A/C service unit from WAECO, which combines economy and environmental compatibility in a unique manner.

With the ASC 2500 Low Emission, WAECO's AirCon specialists provide workshop operators with a powerful tool for business optimisation. At the same time they make an active contribution to the environment. After all, dealing with R134a refrigerant will continue to be part of the everyday workshop routine for many years to come. For this reason the development team around engineer Franz-Josef Esch focuses on finding ways to cut costs for the workshops by maximising the amount of refrigerant recovered. This means a sustainable reduction of the impact on the environment -- a positive side effect.

The refrigerant loss rate of the WAECO ASC 2500 Low Emission is close to zero. This amazing value was achieved by means of a sophisticated approach: All emission-relevant components of the service unit are integrated into the recycling circuit, and the refrigerant is recovered from the used oil container rather than escaping into the atmosphere as is the case with conventional service units. Studies performed by the Dometic WAECO team have shown that commonly used A/C service stations release between 60 to 120 grams of the recovered refrigerant to the environment. Taking today's soaring refrigerant prices into account, this kind of pollution increases the burden on workshops as well as on the world climate.

The WAECO ASC 2500 Low Emission is a high-precision diagnosis tool that indicates the amount of refrigerant recovered. It records the total amount of refrigerant contained in the service unit -- including (and especially) the amount recovered from the used oil container during the internal recovery process -- and thus prevents miscalculation of the actual amount of refrigerant contained in the circuit. This innovative feature facilitates troubleshooting on automotive A/C systems and makes the WAECO ASC 2500 Low Emission an excellent diagnosis tool.

Volkswagen and BMW have already discovered the benefits of the WAECO technology and approved it for use on their cars. The two manufacturers successfully offer WAECO A/C service stations to their dealership via their workshop equipment portals.

What's more, the fully automatic ASC 2500 Low Emission excels with a number of practical and profitable details it shares with the well proven ASC 2000. All in all, Dometic WAECO's service unit offers an attractive alternative that makes A/C service costs affordable for workshops and consumers alike.

Today most companies are adopting or evaluating container technology - Docker in particular - to speed up application deployment, drive down cost, ease management and make application delivery more flexible overall. As with most new architectures, this dream takes significant work to become a reality. Even when you do get your application componentized enough and packaged properly, there are still challenges for DevOps teams to making the shift to continuous delivery and achieving that reducti...
In this strange new world where more and more power is drawn from business technology, companies are effectively straddling two paths on the road to innovation and transformation into digital enterprises. The first path is the heritage trail – with “legacy” technology forming the background. Here, extant technologies are transformed by core IT teams to provide more API-driven approaches. Legacy systems can restrict companies that are transitioning into digital enterprises. To truly become a lead...
