TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 04/03/14 -- Former journalist and political communications advisor Siri Agrell has joined Pilot PMR as Vice President. Siri brings to her role more than 10 years of frontline experience in strategic communications, issues management, digital strategy and journalism.
Until recently, Siri served as Deputy Director of Communications for Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne, overseeing her speechwriting and digital teams as well as strategic messaging. She has a long career as a journalist for The Globe and Mail, National Post and Ottawa Citizen, covering everything from politics to pop culture.
At Pilot, she will take a lead role in the agency's public relations unit as well as spearheading a number of Pilot's own marketing and business development projects as the agency establishes itself as one of Canada's leading creative agencies rooted in adaptive storytelling and earned media.
"When we opened our doors 10 years ago, we made a commitment to establishing a multidisciplinary team that includes a creative department, digital marketing, editorial services and traditional PR," said David Doze, President and CEO at Pilot PMR. "Siri's arrival at Pilot is part of this continued commitment - build a strong and talented team and help our clients achieve success everyday through responsive, adaptable and strategic communications."
Siri is a published author and has appeared as a commentator on shows including Good Morning America, Canada AM, Breakfast Television and The Agenda. She is also a regular host at the International Festival of Authors.
"Pilot has already established a route to success that many agencies are still navigating," said Agrell. "I was drawn to their deep understanding about where communications is headed. They are using modern tools to build on the fundamental principles of great storytelling."
On April 2, Siri facilitated the first in a series of Pilot PMR events called The Co-Pilot Story Series For more information on the event, please visit www.pilotpmr.com/jesus-is-my-co-pilot.

For organizations that have amassed large sums of software complexity, taking a microservices approach is the first step toward DevOps and continuous improvement / development. Integrating system-level analysis with microservices makes it easier to change and add functionality to applications at any time without the increase of risk. Before you start big transformation projects or a cloud migration, make sure these changes won’t take down your entire organization.
