NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 04/05/14 -- Piksel, a global provider of video monetization software and services, will preview an enhanced version of its second screen framework, 2Si, featuring all-new interactivity features from partner Ex Machina, at NAB and MIPTV next week.

The new elements allow deployment of interactive elements such as trivia questions, predictions, ratings and polls to the second screen with ease, enabling content owners, broadcasters and service providers to leverage the interactive benefits of the second screen into their offering in a low impact manner. Elements can be added at specific times or deployed on-the-fly in a live setting, allowing for both live and pre-recorded content to benefit from interactivity. These features, when combined with on-screen call to actions, encourage user engagement and increase stickiness, as viewers connect with programming in manners never possible before. Further social elements encourage engagement by allowing users to see which of their Facebook friends are playing along, their scores, and the ability to chat with them from within the app.
