ST. HELENA and NAPA VALLEY, Calif., April 7, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Joseph Phelps Vineyards is pleased to announce it has embarked on a major renovation project at the winery's Spring Valley Home Ranch, located just outside of St. Helena, Napa Valley. Designed in 1973 by renowned architect John Marsh Davis, the historic redwood Joseph Phelps winery perched on a hillside above estate vineyards will be under renovation through Spring 2015. Once completed, newly created private tasting salons, a private wine club member lounge, wine library and barrel room, along with expanded vineyard views and a state-of-the-art kitchen will provide an unparalleled Napa Valley winery visitation experience.
The Phelps family and executive team commissioned award winning firms Baldauf Catton Von Eckartsberg (BCV) Architects and Brandenburger Associates AIA with repurposing the Joseph Phelps Guest Center interior spaces to enhance the guest experience with minimal changes to the original exterior design. Cello & Maudru Construction Company serves as the general contractor on the project.
"At every step of the renovation planning, it was very important to my father and the rest of our family to preserve the original John Marsh Davis design," stated Bill Phelps, President of Joseph Phelps Vineyards. "We are very pleased with the architects' efforts to maintain the building's historical aspect."
An interim guest center, located among the vines below the current facility, welcomes winery visitors until the Grand Re-Opening of the Joseph Phelps Guest Center in 2015. Open by appointment only, a visit to the Joseph Phelps Temporary Guest Center is an opportunity to experience the winery's grounds like never before during this "Year in the Vines."

"At ROHA we develop an app called Catcha. It was developed after we spent a year meeting with, talking to, interacting with senior citizens watching them use their smartphones and talking to them about how they use their smartphones so we could get to know their smartphone behavior," explained Dave Woods, Chief Innovation Officer at ROHA, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at 19th Cloud Expo, held November 1-3, 2016, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
