APPLE VALLEY, Calif., April 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Apple Valley Ranchos Water Co. held its second Informational Open House at the Apple Valley Conference Center Wednesday, April 2, 2014. The event well attended by Apple Valley residents and community-based organizations, such as the Fire Protection District, to share news and information about water, programs and services.
Staff from Ranchos Water many departments were on hand to talk with people one-on-one and answer questions about water utility operations and other water related matters.
According to Scott Weldy, General Manager and Vice President of Ranchos Water, "A water system has many components. Water is pumped from deep underground, treated, tested and then transported through a complex distribution system that ends at your water tap. Listening to customer concerns provides us an opportunity to stay engaged and talk one-on-one while sharing information and providing education on water stewardship."
Weldy went on to say residents learn about what it takes to bring water from the source to a resident's tap. Ranchos Water learns too, and the Open House provides an opportunity to learn about what is on everybody's mind. We like to think of this as an open forum.
