NACD Hosts Thomas J. Fuller To Speak At Small-Cap Governance Forum

Board Composition as a Strategic Advantage for Small-Cap Companies

NEW YORK, April 8, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Thomas J. Fuller, CEO & Managing Partner of Epsen Fuller Group, will be featured this year at the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Small-Cap Forums in San Antonio, TX on April 10, and San Francisco, CA on July 17, 2014. Mr. Fuller will be speaking about "Building a High Performance Board" for small-cap companies, and how that can be a significant strategic advantage. Mr. Fuller explains, "We all know that recruiting the right boardroom talent is crucial. Small-cap companies have particular challenges in this area because they have to compete with larger companies for that talent, with fewer resources at their disposal."

An NACD Certified Governance Fellow, Mr. Fuller serves as Independent Director and Lead Compensation Advisor for Tingley Rubber Corporation, and board director of IMD International and the non-profit Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC).

Median market capitalization of all public companies is $450 million. "For small-cap companies, even though the principles of good governance remain the same, the practice of exercising sound governance is very different than at large-cap companies", says Fuller. In addition to board composition, the NACD Small-Cap Forums will focus on other unique challenges of small-cap governance, including strategy and risk, financing and the capital markets, key committee issues, shareholder communications and shareholder activism.

NACD's mission is to advance exemplary board leadership. Their focus is on meeting the needs of board members and supporting directors to perform more effectively and efficiently. NACD amplifies the collective voice of directors in the national dialogue on board governance issues.
The events are set to take place in San Antonio, Texas on April 10, 2014, and San Francisco, CA on July 17, 2014. Review all of the program details at NACD Online.
