P2 Land 4.0 Debuts Intelligent Mapping for Oil and Gas Land Professionals

Powered by Tobin Data, New Solution Makes Visualizing Company Assets Possible

DENVER, CO -- (Marketwired) -- 04/08/14 -- P2 Energy Solutions ("P2") today announced the official release of P2 Land 4.0, a comprehensive land management system that brings together intelligent mapping and asset management to empower land departments like never before.

Formerly known as Tobin Enterprise Land, P2 Land and its embedded map enable oil and gas teams to quickly visualize their company's assets and gain on-the-spot answers to advanced land questions. Anyone, from lease analysts and division order analysts to land managers and company executives, can use P2 Land. For oil and gas organizations, having a do-it-all, intuitive land management solution empowers employees to complete important business tasks on their own rather than having to rely on other departments for information. This level of empowerment has become especially important in recent years as unconventional oil and gas plays have driven greater land management complexity and faster-paced operations.

With P2 Land, organizations can:

  • Visualize their company's leasehold position at all times
  • Manage crucial provisions and obligations so nothing is missed during a drilling program
  • Zoom to a prospect and see their organization's leases, acreage and interest in the area
  • Analyze available exploration areas, allowing for business moves to be made quickly
  • Set up and manage leases, contracts and division orders quickly and easily

"P2 Land's map is unlike any other in the industry because it's dynamic, it incorporates real-time data and it allows us to quickly drill down and perform detailed analysis on critical business information," said David Waldrop, Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation's Director of Corporate Land. "Our team decided to migrate from Tobin Land Suite for all of those reasons."

P2 Land also connects to upstream companies' accounting systems, creating shared information that establishes one source of data truth for everyone across the organization. When information is uploaded into either P2 Land or the company's accounting solution, employees in both departments can see and use the data immediately. Such integration prevents duplicate work from being done, reduces the chances of errors being made and wipes out organizational silos.

Said Mike Kennedy, P2's Vice President of Land Management Solutions: "For land and land administration staffs, it's all about land stewardship. Properly maintaining contractual and property assets is absolutely essential. Being able to manage and perform quick analysis on those assets through visualization is a huge advantage for companies. That's what makes this release so exciting, not only for P2, but for oil and gas operators everywhere."
