New Business Performance Management Solution from InsightSoftware.com Offers One System for Optimal Visibility

InsightSoftware.com, a leading provider of reporting, budgeting and reconciliation solutions for Oracle E-Business Suite and JD Edwards, today unveiled three new products designed to empower business users with the information they need to directly impact business performance, while also helping them realize a new level of value from their existing enterprise software systems. The products, announced today at COLLABORATE 2014, include two new additions to the award-winning InsightUnlimited product suite – InsightUnlimited Planning and InsightUnlimited Reporting for PeopleSoft – and a new business performance management solution called Hubble.

“New technology does not always equal business gain. Our goal with these new solutions is to help users gain a new level of value, not only from the data in their ERP, but also from their existing software solutions,” said Paul Yarwood, General Manager for InsightSoftware.com. “Data and technology is meant to empower – not slow you down. Hubble and our expanded InsightUnlimited solutions empower users with their information and their software so they can do their jobs better and directly impact business performance.”

Hubble, InsightSoftware.com’s new business performance management solution, was built on the innovative concept of providing users with one system to seamlessly connect business colleagues, customers, data and processes for optimal visibility. Hubble directly connects data to users’ Oracle E-Business Suite, JD Edwards, or PeopleSoft systems in real-time, enabling users to discover powerful insights and easily measure all aspects of business performance. With Hubble’s complete visibility, users can collaborate across multiple departments and through various levels of detail. Hubble also allows users to:

  • Connect finance data from multiple sources into a single consolidated view;
  • Easily search for metrics, discussions, workspaces and even people;
  • Create an intuitive layer of organization, without the burden of traditional file structures, using innovative tagging capabilities;
  • Share data with people inside and outside the organization without having to worry about permissions and privileges; and
  • Make data powerful with infographic-style metrics that define goals and highlight important corporate milestones.

“Enterprise information is everywhere and the average business has dozens of software systems in place to manage it. The real challenge for business users is finding a way to seamlessly connect, manage and leverage all the information available to them so they have hands-on access to that data in real time – directly improving their efficiency,” said Glenn Wirick, InsightSoftware.com’s VP of product management. “Hubble brings a new level of value to existing software investments by bringing all the information together in a single system that provides total customer visibility for the business and total business visibility for customers.”

In addition to Hubble, the company also launched its new InsightUnlimited Planning solution, which automates the budgeting, forecasting and planning process by directly integrating with a user’s ERP solution in real time. Users enter data drivers from the field and instantly combine them with ERP data for real-time forecast analysis the second it’s needed. InsightUnlimited Planning also:

  • Leverages the power and familiarity of Excel for modeling and calculations, while eliminating the need to rely on the spreadsheet program as a database;
  • Supports a distributed planning process that is managed by status workflow; and
  • Requires no additional hardware or additional IT support resources.

In the new InsightUnlimited Reporting for PeopleSoft, InsightSoftware.com has applied the same real-time inquiry, reporting and analytics capabilities of InsightUnlimited Reporting for Oracle E-Business Suite and JD Edwards and purpose-built it for PeopleSoft FSCM and HCM/Payroll 9x. Designed specifically to replace PS Query, nVision, SQR, and Excel, InsightUnlimited for PeopleSoft enables users to quickly and easily get meaningful information out of PeopleSoft so they can, in turn, analyze and improve the management of finance, payroll and HR.

InsightSoftware.com will be highlighting these new solutions at a series of vendor awareness sessions at COLLABORATE 2014 (April 7-10) and exhibiting at booth No. 1359. Check here for the full listing of the company’s COLLABORATE activities including times, locations and presentation details for each event.

More and more brands have jumped on the IoT bandwagon. We have an excess of wearables – activity trackers, smartwatches, smart glasses and sneakers, and more that track seemingly endless datapoints. However, most consumers have no idea what “IoT” means. Creating more wearables that track data shouldn't be the aim of brands; delivering meaningful, tangible relevance to their users should be. We're in a period in which the IoT pendulum is still swinging. Initially, it swung toward "smart for smar...

In addition to all the benefits, IoT is also bringing new kind of customer experience challenges - cars that unlock themselves, thermostats turning houses into saunas and baby video monitors broadcasting over the internet. This list can only increase because while IoT services should be intuitive and simple to use, the delivery ecosystem is a myriad of potential problems as IoT explodes complexity. So finding a performance issue is like finding the proverbial needle in the haystack.
Between 2005 and 2020, data volumes will grow by a factor of 300 – enough data to stack CDs from the earth to the moon 162 times. This has come to be known as the ‘big data’ phenomenon. Unfortunately, traditional approaches to handling, storing and analyzing data aren’t adequate at this scale: they’re too costly, slow and physically cumbersome to keep up. Fortunately, in response a new breed of technology has emerged that is cheaper, faster and more scalable. Yet, in meeting these new needs they...

When it comes to cloud computing, the ability to turn massive amounts of compute cores on and off on demand sounds attractive to IT staff, who need to manage peaks and valleys in user activity. The Internet of Things (IoT) promises to simplify and streamline our lives by automating routine tasks that distract us from our goals. This promise is based on the ubiquitous deployment of smart, connected devices that link everything from industrial control systems to automobiles to refrigerators. Unfortunately, comparatively few of the devices currently deployed have been developed with an eye toward security, and as the DDoS attacks of late October 2016 have demonstrated, this oversight can ...
