NEW YORK, April 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Levi & Korsinsky announces that a class action lawsuit has been commenced in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas on behalf of investors who purchased Global Geophysical Services, Inc. ("GGS" or the "Company") (NYSE: GGS and GGS-PA) common stock from April 21, 2010 through March 18, 2014 and purchasers of the Company's Series A preferred stock from December 3, 2013 through March 18, 2014.

On March 18, 2014, GGS announced it would restate its annual financial statements for the years ended December 31 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012, as well as its quarterly financial statements for the first three quarters of 2013. For the three months ended September 30, 2013, GGS announced that the restatement would decrease revenues by $5.0 million. Following this news shares of GGS fell to a close of $0.57 per share the following day.
