Verizon Wireless Announces The Release Of The Samsung Galaxy S5

Latest smartphone available in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores Friday

DALLAS, April 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless today announced the immediate availability of the Galaxy S5 online and in stores.  Customers can purchase the device in either Charcoal Black or Shimmery White for $199.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new, two-year activation.  And for a limited time, customers can get a second phone free after a $50 mail-in rebate.

The Verizon Edge program is also available for eligible customers who want to upgrade.  For a limited time, customers who choose Edge and a MORE Everything plan with 10 GB data allowance or more can add four smartphones to the plan for $160 per month.

Delivering the ability to view high-definition quality videos, capture photos in an instant, track fitness levels down to a heartbeat, and lock and unlock the phone with a fingerprint, the Galaxy S5 is revolutionizing the smartphone experience.

Customers can now enjoy one of the most innovative smartphone experiences.  With the Ultra Power Saving Mode feature, the Galaxy S5 allows customers to close nonessential apps and switch the screen to black and white offering maximum battery life.  Users can also lock and unlock their phones with the touch of a fingerprint, providing quick and secure access to their favorite applications.
