MONTREAL, April 14, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - In support of Immunization Awareness Week 2014, Vaccines411TM has created an immunization brochure for the general public asking: Are your immunizations up-to-date? The goal is to encourage patients to talk to their healthcare professionals about which vaccines they may need.
The Vaccines411TM immunization brochure contains a checklist that can be downloaded from the Vaccines411TM website and printed. Check off any of the boxes that may apply to you and bring the immunization checklist to your next appointment with your healthcare professional. To book an appointment at a vaccination clinic, visit www.vaccines411.ca and enter your postal code to find the vaccination clinic nearest to you.
The Vaccines411TM immunization brochure is a simple way to get the conversation started about whether your vaccines are up-to-date and for obtaining a healthcare professional's opinion. "Some people might not know how to initiate the discussion about vaccines with their healthcare professional or don't know what questions to ask. This checklist not only helps you determine what vaccines you may need or have received, but can also be used as a record. Just like the Clinic Finder, the Checklist was created to help Canadians stay healthy," explains Francisca Roel, president of [email protected] and founder of the Vaccines411.ca initiative.
Along with the new immunization brochure, Vaccines411TM also launched a spring contest. Take a few minutes to enter by completing the short survey for a chance to win one of six prizes.
Developed and managed by [email protected], Vaccines411.ca is an online vaccination clinic locator that also includes reliable immunization resources for Canadians to easily find the vaccination resources they need. The website was officially launched in May 2011. This free online service was created to facilitate the vaccination process for the many Canadians who do not know where to find a vaccination clinic. The information provided on Vaccines411.ca is designed to complement, not replace, relationships between patients and healthcare professionals.
