ANDOVER, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/15/14 -- RAID Incorporated (RAID Inc.) is now shipping 6TB 7200 rpm NL SAS Drives in their 4U 60-bay Ability EBOD. The 4U 60-Bay Ultra-Dense 6 Gb/s SAS/SATA Ability EBOD, short for enterprise-class JBOD, can hold up to 360TB of data in a 4U form factor.
With eight, 6Gb/sec, SAS 2.0 host ports -- and two I/O Modules for redundancy and zoning capability for all 60 drives in various combinations, this product is the most versatile and reliable product in its class.
The 4U 60-Bay Ability EBOD solution enables massive data capacity applications, at a price/performance point per Gigabyte (GB) that meets a range of requirements. With tiering functionality enabled through R2 and 8 external SAS ports makes this solution ideal for Microsoft, Lustre, GPFS, ZFS and Cloud applications.
