Spree Commerce Announces Rapid Expansion of Certified Partner Program

Membership Doubles in Two-Month Period, Includes Users of Other Storefront Platforms

BETHESDA, MD -- (Marketwired) -- 04/17/14 -- Spree Commerce, the company powering the technology behind the best storefronts, today welcomed 15 additional members into its certified partner program. These developers -- 10 Pearls, Branch 13 Technologies, Gin Lane, Red Badger and more -- operate across 12 countries and represent a diverse array of e-commerce clients, including Ayr, BBC, BMW, Discovery Communications, JCREW, Microsoft, Time Warner Cable and others.

"Becoming a Spree Commerce certified partner enables you to stand out in a crowded marketplace by giving you access to our world class technology, training and marketing support," said Spree Commerce CEO Sean Schofield. "It means that you're using the Spree Commerce hub to minimize the complexity of developing integrations, help your customers get to market quicker, and spend your time building them a better storefront."

This latest expansion also represents the first time that Spree Commerce's certified partner program adds development and design firms that work in other storefront platforms such as Magento and Shopify. The Spree Commerce hub works with all storefront platforms, not just Spree, so developers can build storefronts in any platform and still take advantage of the hub's capabilities. The hub automates connections between storefronts and their fulfillment providers, accounting systems, ERPs, in-store payment systems, customer service systems and more. Because the hub is compatible with any storefront, storeowners have the flexibility to improve their operations with the hub, regardless of the platform that they choose.

Spree Commerce's certified partners are a select group of experts who leverage their world-class design and development skills to deliver the most advanced, dynamic e-commerce solutions. Partners, who are categorized as premier, associate or contributors, receive many benefits such as exclusive access to training, professional marketing material for their use, priority technical support to achieve successful product launches and co-marketing opportunities.

More than 45,000 retailers throughout 100 countries have chosen Spree Commerce to power their online business. According to Github, the largest open source repository worldwide, Spree Commerce is one of the most widely used open source technologies in the world with more than 500 developers submitting 11,000+ contributions to the platform.

Mobile messaging has been a popular communication channel for more than 20 years. Since then, the technology has evolved immensely, from both a technology standpoint, and in our everyday uses for it. Originally used for person-to-person (P2P) communication, i.e., Sally sends a text...
