As the economy picks up, businesses are looking to hire new employees and organizations are relying on talent acquisition software in order to find qualified candidates for their jobs. In a recent PricewaterhouseCoopers survey, a majority of CEOs said they are planning to hire in 2014 and cite their biggest challenge was finding candidates with the necessary skills. Ninety-two percent of respondents plan to reinvent talent strategy operations and 86 percent say technology advances will help transform their businesses.

"iCIMS understands that finding the right talent acquisition solution for your company is a key factor in meeting corporate goals," said iCIMS Chief Marketing Officer, Susan Vitale. "Finding skilled candidates quickly and efficiently is a must, so it is important to have robust tools for sourcing, hiring, and onboarding. iCIMS is proud to offer best-to-market tools paired with a dedicated customer service team to ensure success for each of our clients."

During the iCIMS Lunch & Learn series, HR professionals learn about best practices in talent acquisition and view a live demonstration of the iCIMS Talent Platform during a networking power lunch at premier restaurants like Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Prime 47, and Morton's Steakhouse. Attendees will also have a chance to swap talent acquisition strategies with like-minded Human Resources professionals from similar size mid-market and enterprise companies and gain insights into implementing and using iCIMS tools from current iCIMS clients local to their area.

"I attended the Denver Lunch & Learn in January and the presentation and the lunch were both excellent," said Jennifer Grace, Senior HR Project Manager at Intrawest U.S. Holdings, Inc. "The demonstration was very informative and helpful in our software scoping process. The iCIMS staff members at the event were able to offer insight into what tools would be useful for the specific needs of our business," concluded Grace.

In the world of DevOps there are ‘known good practices’ – aka ‘patterns’ – and ‘known bad practices’ – aka ‘anti-patterns.' Up until last year, enterprises that were looking into cloud services usually undertook a long-term pilot with one of the large cloud providers, running test and dev workloads in the cloud. With cloud’s transition to mainstream adoption in 2015, and with enterprises migrating more and more workloads into the cloud and in between public and private environments, the single-provider approach must be revisited.
