GLEN MILLS, Pa., April 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- For the second year in a row, Ardian Group Inc. is proud to be the recipient of the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Small Business Achievement Award. Ardian Group, Inc. is a minority, woman-owned business recognized for leadership and innovation in project and technology solutions for credentialing, data security and access control. The Award was presented to Maria Shelton, CEO of Ardian Group, at a special ceremony in Washington, D.C.
The Award recognized Ardian Group's outstanding work in support of the DHS mission during the 2013 Presidential Inauguration, working directly with the United States Secret Service and Presidential Inaugural Committee.
"We are honored to receive this award for the second time, " said CEO, Maria Shelton. "It is because of the cooperative efforts with DHS and numerous federal, state and local agencies that enabled us to achieve such success with our mission."
During the Presidential Inauguration, the Ardian Group provided intelligent, real-time software and technology solutions specifically designed for registration and data management for credentialing government staff, military and law enforcement, volunteers, and news media. The project also required project management, providing access control technology throughout multiple venues.
The annual DHS Small Business Achievement Award recognizes a select group of small businesses from across the country for their exceptional contributions to the homeland security mission. The DHS Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization sponsored the Award in partnership with other procurement offices. Ardian Group is a recognized leader in software and technology solutions for event credentialing and management. They also played significant roles in support of other national and international events including the 2012 NATO Summit and the 2012 Presidential Debates.
"Although our services are technologically driven, we believe a personal, hands-on customer service approach is fundamental to the success of these projects and continued positive working relationships with our clients," Shelton said.
