SAN DIEGO, April 19, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Keith Jones, the managing principal of Ace Parking, has announced the new EV ARC® charging station is available in the Ace-managed lot located in downtown San Diego at the 1220 Union Street location. The station, which is the first of its kind, fits inside of a single parking space and uses solar power.
Ace Parking is known throughout the parking lot management industry for their focus on green initiatives that involve innovative thinking such as this. The company is strongly considering the implementation of these charging stations at their locations nationwide.
"We are very pleased that we have been able to display the first-ever, off-grid solar powered, sun-tracking EV charging station," said Jones. "We are very interested in all types of green technologies, and this charging station is certainly at the forefront."
Ace has long advocated green business practices, and has pushed for initiatives that will reduce their own carbon footprint as well as the footprint of others. In addition to the display of the EV ARC® charging station, Ace Parking has also offered their expertise to other businesses on how to implement certain green strategies, including the use of Green Asphalt, Solar Trees, water recycling, carpooling programs, eco-friendly maintenance, and Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS).
"It has been a goal of ours to not only implement these strategies as a part of our daily operations, but to also show other companies how to implement and utilize these strategies in their own business practices as well," said Jones. "We feel that we have a certain responsibility to educate others on the most cutting-edge of green initiatives."
