Evidon, the leader in online transparency, announced today that it has changed its name to Ghostery, Inc. For more than four years, Ghostery has powered multi-platform transparency tools for consumers. Evidon’s business products will now be part of the Ghostery EnterpriseTM suite. Rolling both consumer and enterprise solutions into the Ghostery brand aligns the company’s services with its core mission of “Transparency For All.”
More than 30 million consumers use Ghostery on websites and mobile devices to control the technologies that collect their digital data and target them with marketing messages. Of this group, 15 million Ghostery users have opted in to contribute anonymous data about these marketing technologies. The Ghostrank Panel data supports an entirely new discipline for Ghostery, Inc.’s business customers: Marketing Cloud Management (MCM).
“Ghostery MCM shows businesses that their online presences are actually a ‘marketing cloud,’ a complex web of technologies and vendor partners that profoundly affect their online business,” said Scott Meyer, Ghostery, Inc. CEO. “Ghostery MCM empowers companies to actively manage this cloud, securing their data, improving site and app performance, and growing and retaining their customer base. When companies can’t see and control their marketing cloud, they face multiple risks: security flaws; diluted customer data value; data loss to competitors; and slow website and app performance.”
"IHG views marketing cloud management as an important function within the technology group,” said Chad Westfall, Director of Web Delivery for InterContinental Hotels Group. “We use Ghostery MCM to assess the vendors brought in by third-party redirects across our properties, to monitor their performance, and to ensure that we are delivering the best customer experience to our clients."
Ghostery MCM™ provides marketing cloud management technology globally. At launch, Ghostery MCM is already deployed by more than 50 brands, including InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), Procter & Gamble, and Telegraaf Media.
