VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/23/14 -- Aegean Metals Group Inc. (TSX VENTURE: AGN) ("Aegean" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has closed the first tranche of its previously announced non-brokered private placement financing (the "Private Placement") of 3,005,000 units (the "Units") at a price of C$0.10 per Unit for gross proceeds of C$300,500. Each Unit consists of one common share in the capital of the Company and one common share purchase warrant entitling the holder thereof to purchase an additional common share of the Company at a price of C$0.15 per share for a period of 4 years.
A finder's' fees of 6% was paid on a portion of the Private Placement. All securities issued in connection with the Private Placement will be subject to a four month hold period expiring on August 24, 2014.
Aegean will use proceeds from the Private Placement for new project generation as well as general and administrative expenses.
