The analysts forecast the Mobile Value Added Services market in India to grow at a CAGR of 22.13 percent over the period 2013-2018. One of the key factors contributing to this market growth is the increasing adoption of smartphones and tablets. The Mobile Value Added Services market in India has also been witnessing the increasing funding for mobile governance applications from the Government of India. However, the lack of awareness among individual users could pose a challenge to the growth of this market.

The report, the Mobile Value Added Services Market in India 2014-2018, has been prepared based on an in-depth market analysis with inputs from industry experts. The report covers the Mobile Value Added Services market in India market landscape and its growth prospects in the coming years. The report also includes a discussion of the key vendors operating in this market.

In recent years, the Mobile VAS market in India has witnessed significant growth due to increasing funding for mobile governance applications from the Government of India. The Government of India's National Telecom Policy coined in 2011-2012 aims to utilize the massive reach of mobile phones and harness the potential of mobile applications to enable easy and round-the-clock access to public services, mostly in the rural areas.

Hence, the Government of India has set up a new fund to offer financial support to mobile start-ups that are focusing on developing m-governance applications. This initiative was announced in the Union Budget for 2013-14. However, the size of the fund and the average money provided to every start-up has not been disclosed by the IT Department, which is handling this initiative. The government is planning to offer m-governance services to more than 700 Aadhaar card holders by the end of 2014.

DevOps is being widely accepted (if not fully adopted) as essential in enterprise IT. But as Enterprise DevOps gains maturity, expands scope, and increases velocity, the need for data-driven decisions across teams becomes more acute. DevOps teams in any modern business must wrangle the ‘digital exhaust’ from the delivery toolchain, "pervasive" and "cognitive" computing, APIs and services, mobile devices and applications, the Internet of Things, and now even blockchain.
