BATAVIA, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 04/24/14 -- Savage IO, Inc. announces the appointment of Mr. Jim Phillips as its newest Senior Systems Engineer. Mr. Phillips brings more than 30 years of IT operational experience to Savage IO including technical leadership managing cross-functional teams comprised of UNIX, Windows, Database and Network Systems Administrators. Mr. Phillips is responsible for product development, performance optimization, automation of both R&D and manufacturing processes to advance the rapid integration of next-generation technologies into the DataBrick converged storage server products. Additionally he manages Savage IO's internal IT operations and infrastructure.
Previously as Dell's Senior Sales Engineer in upstate New York, Mr. Phillips applied his extensive technical background to design, deploy and manage large scale UNIX systems, local and Wide Area Networks, and to grow the company's territory through the management of over 400 strategic business relationships.
Prior to his tenure with Dell, Mr. Phillips served as the Director of Technical Services at One Communications where he led a team of 45 diverse professionals to build out the One Communications data center and corporate IT infrastructure. Mr. Phillips' vast experience and technical know-how constitute invaluable assets to Savage IO as it continues to deliver industry leading, high performance storage with simplified remote monitoring, and integrated management at affordable prices.
