LifeTech Brands Announced Today An Exclusive Distribution Agreement With Famous Works Electronics To Market, Sell, And Support The XDREAM Brand

ANAHEIM, Calif., April 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- LifeTech Brands, a U.S.-based distributor specializing in innovative products designed for the mobile lifestyle, announced today an exclusive distribution agreement with Famous Works Electronics, a mobile industry innovator.

Under the terms of this agreement, effective immediately, LifeTech Brands will market, sell and support the entire lineup of XDREAM branded mobile speakers and external power banks through their network of retailers, distributors and resellers in the U.S. market.  "This partnership brings a new industry leader to the US consumer," said Tom Ling, President, LifeTech Brands. "Famous Works Electronics' forward thinking designs and innovative solutions will bring a fresh look to retail shelves and consumers will see how mobile technology can blend with their lifestyle and fashion."

The unique lineup of popular XDREAM branded mobile speakers and stylized power banks have experienced rapid growth globally.  Led by the XDREAM red-hot X-Loli mini power bank, where it has become a fashion accessory.  With a simple twist, you can open the X-Loli and insert photos, pictures, and other designs to personalize your device to suit your style.  The other XDREAM flagship products, the X-Power XL and XS, packs 5400 and 3000 mAh of reserve power, respectively, into a sleek machined aluminum casing. It's surprisingly thin, extremely durable and available in a variety of colors.

"This is an example of our focus on form and function over bigger is better. While there are higher capacity power banks, they are bulky, inefficient and can take 14-16 hours to be fully charged. The person on the go is already constrained for time and space. Our product, which is smaller and slimmer than most cell phones, is fully charged in 8 hours and supplies more than enough supplemental power for a full day of work," said Joy Choi, lead designer and CEO/President of Famous Works Electronics. "This is why we selected LifeTech Brands as its only U.S. distributor. Their shared vision combined with their distribution experience and strong alliances with the industry's leading technology providers, makes it a perfect fit."

"We are pleased to welcome the XDREAM lineup of products into the LifeTech Brands portfolio and will leverage our marketing and sales expertise to grow our market and meet U.S. demand," added Ken Colby, Director of Sales & Marketing at LifeTech Brands.

A critical component of any IoT project is what to do with all the data being generated. This data needs to be captured, processed, structured, and stored in a way to facilitate different kinds of queries. Traditional data warehouse and analytical systems are mature technologies that can be used to handle certain kinds of queries, but they are not always well suited to many problems, particularly when there is a need for real-time insights.
Providing secure, mobile access to sensitive data sets is a critical element in realizing the full potential of cloud computing. However, large data caches remain inaccessible to edge devices for reasons of security, size, format or limited viewing capabilities. Medical imaging, computer aided design and seismic interpretation are just a few examples of industries facing this challenge. Rather than fighting for incremental gains by pulling these datasets to edge devices, we need to embrace the i...
IoT is at the core or many Digital Transformation initiatives with the goal of re-inventing a company's business model. We all agree that collecting relevant IoT data will result in massive amounts of data needing to be stored. However, with the rapid development of IoT devices and ongoing business model transformation, we are not able to predict the volume and growth of IoT data. And with the lack of IoT history, traditional methods of IT and infrastructure planning based on the past do not app...
Web Real-Time Communication APIs have quickly revolutionized what browsers are capable of. In addition to video and audio streams, we can now bi-directionally send arbitrary data over WebRTC's PeerConnection Data Channels. With the advent of Progressive Web Apps and new hardware APIs such as WebBluetooh and WebUSB, we can finally enable users to stitch together the Internet of Things directly from their browsers while communicating privately and securely in a decentralized way.
All organizations that did not originate this moment have a pre-existing culture as well as legacy technology and processes that can be more or less amenable to DevOps implementation. That organizational culture is influenced by the personalities and management styles of Executive Management, the wider culture in which the organization is situated, and the personalities of key team members at all levels of the organization. This culture and entrenched interests usually throw a wrench in the work...

Fifty billion connected devices and still no winning protocols standards. HTTP, WebSockets, MQTT, and CoAP seem to be leading in the IoT protocol race at the moment but many more protocols are getting introduced on a regular basis.
