Concerned Sherritt Shareholders Announce Investor Webcast and Call

HALIFAX, April 24, 2014 /CNW/ - The Concerned Shareholders of Sherritt International Corporation ("Sherritt") will hold a webcast presentation and conference call for fellow investors on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Toronto time.

The webcast and call will provide Sherritt shareholders with important information as they decide on the election of three new directors to the nine-member Board of Directors at the Company's upcoming Annual and Special Meeting.

The Concerned Shareholders will make a presentation, describing the compelling need for change at Sherritt, the qualifications of the three Concerned Shareholder nominees, and how they can lead that change.

All Sherritt shareholders are encouraged to participate to learn more about why the current Board is responsible for the 55% loss in their investment in the three years up to the Concerned Shareholder requisition, the lack of strategic direction and executive leadership, massive write-offs on investments, and rising costs.  They can also learn more about the Concerned Shareholders common-sense plan to rebuild value at Sherritt.

More information, including the complete Concerned Shareholders Information Circular is available at

Sherritt shareholders are advised to vote using the GREEN form of proxy that accompanies the Concerned Shareholders' Circular. They should disregard any proxy sent by Sherritt management and, even if they have voted a blue management proxy, they have the right to change their vote using a later-dated GREEN proxy. Only the last-dated proxy is counted.

In order for the GREEN proxy to be counted, it must be submitted consistent with the instructions on the proxy and must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. Toronto time on Thursday May 1, 2014.

Discard Sherritt's misleading blue proxy. It does not include the names of the Concerned Shareholder nominees.

Vote only the GREEN proxy for positive change at Sherritt.

Sherritt shareholders with questions can call 1-800-294-3174 or visit our website at for more information.

I was curious to see if the same theme would still resonate 365 days later and what, if any, changes I would see in the content presented.
Culture is the most important ingredient of DevOps. DevOps is about increasing efficiency, but nothing is more inefficient than building the same application twice. However, this is a routine occurrence with enterprise applications that need both a rich desktop web interface and strong mobile support. With recent technological advances from Isomorphic Software and others, rich desktop and tuned mobile experiences can now be created with a single codebase – without compromising functionality, performance or usability.
