ANN ARBOR, Mich., April 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The law firm of Miller Canfield announces that it served as legal advisor to WorkForce Software, LLC on the majority investment by New York-based Insight Venture Partners.

The Miller Canfield team, which was led by corporate and M&A principal Jeffrey L. LaBine (New York, NY and Ann Arbor, MI), included tax principal Gary R. "We have been pleased to work with WorkForce Software for several years and to lend our expertise to this milestone event," said LaBine "This investment will accelerate WorkForce Software's global expansion and operational scaling to support the company's rapidly growing client base, thereby allowing the company -- a seven-year honoree on the Inc. 5000 list -- to reach its full potential on an accelerated pace to the benefit of its clients and employees alike.

"Transactions like this exemplify the client benefits of Miller Canfield's holistic approach to M&A -- having specialists in each of the legal areas implicated by a transaction of this type allows us to seamlessly bring principals practicing in each area of law to the transaction as and when needed to ensure that the particular implications and potential ramifications of each specialty area are considered and appropriately handled."

"The Miller Canfield team has been an invaluable resource for our company," stated Kevin Choksi, CEO and Co-Founder of WorkForce Software. "Their guidance through this transaction, and their support of our business in other capacities through the years, has played an integral role in our growth and global expansion."
