Linkagoal Secures $1.25M in Series A Funding

San Francisco, CA., Apr 28, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - Linkagoal, the first-ever 'Goal Oriented Social Network', announced today that it has raised $1.25M in Series A funding, led by Sh. Amr F M Zedan, CEO of the Saudi Zedan Group, with advisory services provided by Privity FZ LLE. With the funding, San Francisco-based Linkagoal will continue to advance its Goal Based Engine with a veteran software development team led by Founder and CEO Mohsin Shafique and a Sales and Marketing team led by Co-Founder and Deputy CEO Nasir Jamal.

With its rapidly growing user base and an approved patent by USPTO (Method of Goal Based Social Network - Patent No: 8694439), Linkagoal is an innovator in the goal-oriented social networking space. Linkagoal aims to build a global community of goal oriented, like-minded individuals, under its revolutionary social networking platform with a mission of identifying personal and professional objectives and accomplishing them, supported by other members of the community.

Linkagoal works on a simple yet powerful concept of Create, Link and Contribute. The Linkagoal application allows its users to write goals (Create), become globally linked on common goals and aspirations (Link) and contribute to each other's success (Contribute).

Mohsin Shafique, Linkagoal CEO and Founder says, "Your actions and your thoughts have to be going in the same direction. This needs concentration, greater planning and access to information of experiences with successful outcomes. This is a very exciting phase in social networking since it is still evolutionary, with a genuine need to add real-life value to its purpose. Linkagoal performs this function.

"Social networking has become an essential part of every individual's life around the world. Linkagoal aims to complement today's social networking by stepping ahead on just simply keeping people connected by providing more meaning and value to people's time spent online. Linkagoal closes a major gap in today's social networking space - "socializing with a purpose" while "achieving an objective". Simply put, Create, Link and Contribute - thats how Linkagoal was incepted."

"We mark today as great success on our new association with Sh. Amr F M Zedan, CEO of the Saudi Zedan Group. Amr brings lots of value mainly around his experience of past investments in other startups, including Jumio (with Facebook Co-founder Eduardo Saverin and Daniel Mattes), Snupps, qbeats, tagstr, Peter Thiel's Palantir, and Sevacall, to name a few," added Mohsin.

Nasir Jamal, Linkagoal Co-Founder and Deputy CEO Linkagoal, congratulated the Linkagoal team on developing a unique social networking tool that has attracted numerous users from across the globe. "Our vision is that the future is in our hands and shaping a productive present will ensure a successful future for generations to come.

"Linkagoal aims to provide direction and purpose to the social networking opportunity... to remind ourselves daily that time is the only actual asset we have and its value lies in conscious and planned use. Ease of use through apps for phones, palm tops, etc, as well as a dedicated team to manage the system will provide our clients and users motivation to define their aspirations in terms of long term and short term goals that can be monitored for success, correction and timely achievement.

"With our continued efforts, and expertise from Sh. Amr F M Zedan, our stake holders, users and investors will benefit from this positive social movement," says Nasir.

About Linkagoal

Linkagoal is a goal based social network, it promotes the habit of writing goals and helps to connect individuals based on similar goals and objectives in life. With this, either users can get easily engaged with people who can benefit them in achieving their goals or they can also get associated with other users who are in process of achieving the same kind of goals. Linkagoal is based on the belief that the lack of resources, guidance, experience, accountability, and encouragement hinder people from achieving their goals - so why not help them. After all, this whole universe is all about sharing ideas and making things easier for others - so is Linkagoal. For more information, please visit www.linkagoal.com.

The speed of software changes in growing and large scale rapid-paced DevOps environments presents a challenge for continuous testing. Many organizations struggle to get this right. Digital Transformation is the ultimate goal of cloud computing and related initiatives. The phrase is certainly not a precise one, and as subject to hand-waving and distortion as any high-falutin' terminology in the world of information technology. Yet it is an excellent choice of words to describe what enterprise IT—and by extension, organizations in general—should be working to achieve. Digital Transformation means: handling all the data types being found and created in the organizat...
The essence of cloud computing is that all consumable IT resources are delivered as services. In his session at 15th Cloud Expo, Yung Chou, Technology Evangelist at Microsoft, demonstrated the concepts and implementations of two important cloud computing deliveries: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS). He discussed from business and technical viewpoints what exactly they are, why we care, how they are different and in what ways, and the strategies for IT to tran...

The Software Defined Data Center (SDDC), which enables organizations to seamlessly run in a hybrid cloud model (public + private cloud), is here to stay. IDC estimates that the software-defined networking market will be valued at $3.7 billion by 2016. Security is a key component and benefit of the SDDC, and offers an opportunity to build security 'from the ground up' and weave it into the environment from day one. In his session at 16th Cloud Expo, Reuven Harrison, CTO and Co-Founder of Tufin,...
The Internet of Things is not only adding billions of sensors and billions of terabytes to the Internet. It is also forcing a fundamental change in the way we envision Information Technology. For the first time, more data is being created by devices at the edge of the Internet rather than from centralized systems. What does this mean for today's IT professional? In this Power Panel at @ThingsExpo, moderated by Conference Chair Roger Strukhoff, panelists addressed this very serious issue of pro...
Container technology is sending shock waves through the world of cloud computing. Heralded as the 'next big thing,' containers provide software owners a consistent way to package their software and dependencies while infrastructure operators benefit from a standard way to deploy and run them. Containers present new challenges for tracking usage due to their dynamic nature. They can also be deployed to bare metal, virtual machines and various cloud platforms. How do software owners track the usag...
With SaaS use rampant across organizations, how can IT departments track company data and maintain security? More and more departments are commissioning their own solutions and bypassing IT. A cloud environment is amorphous and powerful, allowing you to set up solutions for all of your user needs: document sharing and collaboration, mobile access, e-mail, even industry-specific applications. In his session at 16th Cloud Expo, Shawn Mills, President and a founder of Green House Data, discussed h...
