CounterTack to Demo Sentinel at InfoSecurity Europe 2014

CounterTack, a pioneer in delivering real-time endpoint threat detection, context and visibility around targeted attacks, is exhibiting at InfoSec Europe 2014, April 29-May 1. The company will demo its flagship product CounterTack Sentinel, the leading endpoint threat detection and response platform in the industry. Look for CounterTack in booth #K65, with its strategic partner Preventia, an IT security specialist focused on integration and professional security services in Europe.

CounterTack’s Sentinel turns the tables on attackers and detects endpoint attacks early and often, collecting and analyzing data on Operating System behaviors from a position of stealth. Sentinel gives enterprise security teams real-time visibility into today’s advanced threats, allowing them to analyze endpoint data, and classify threats to determine impact, and enable an efficient response. CounterTack Sentinel stands apart from industry competitors with its real-time detection and forensic-level analysis capabilities, so customers understand attacks as they are happening, allowing them to fully remediate the issue and foresee future security challenges.

CounterTack’s Senior Director of Security Strategy Tom Bain will also be available throughout the conference to meet with journalists and industry analysts.

“We’re excited to be exhibiting with Preventia at InfoSec Europe and to be demoing Sentinel. Enterprises face the harsh reality of today’s advanced threats without a way to rapidly detect attacks,” said Bain of CounterTack. “Today’s endpoint compromises come in the form of attacks carried out by criminals who break into enterprise systems, but also by malicious insiders. By the time security teams detect an incident, the collateral damage can be devastating and often untraceable without the right capabilities in place. CounterTack Sentinel gives enterprises the ability to detect threats in real-time.”

“CounterTack gives our customer base an innovative endpoint security technology that hasn’t been available previously in the market,” said Nick Peaster, CEO, Preventia. “The visibility that CounterTack Sentinel provides global teams is unprecedented in terms of accuracy and detail. This actionable intelligence helps fuel better security decisions that are time-sensitive.”

Mobile, social, Big Data, and cloud have fundamentally changed the way we live. “Anytime, anywhere” access to data and information is no longer a luxury; it’s a requirement, in both our personal and professional lives. For IT organizations, this means pressure has never been greater to deliver meaningful services to the business and customers.
Digital Transformation is the ultimate goal of cloud computing and related initiatives. The phrase is certainly not a precise one, and as subject to hand-waving and distortion as any high-falutin' terminology in the world of information technology. Yet it is an excellent choice of words to describe what enterprise IT—and by extension, organizations in general—should be working to achieve. Digital Transformation means: handling all the data types being found and created in the organizat...

The Software Defined Data Center (SDDC), which enables organizations to seamlessly run in a hybrid cloud model (public + private cloud), is here to stay. IDC estimates that the software-defined networking market will be valued at $3.7 billion by 2016. Container technology is sending shock waves through the world of cloud computing. Heralded as the 'next big thing,' containers provide software owners a consistent way to package their software and dependencies while infrastructure operators benefit from a standard way to deploy and run them. Containers present new challenges for tracking usage due to their dynamic nature. They can also be deployed to bare metal, virtual machines and various cloud platforms. How do software owners track the usag...
