SACRAMENTO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/28/14 -- For the sixth straight year, Swinerton Builders joined forces with employee and community volunteers to take part in Rebuilding Together Sacramento's annual "Rebuild Day." As a house sponsor for the event, Swinerton organized volunteer labor and leveraged 126 years of building expertise to make essential repairs to a South Sacramento family's home. In addition to work-in-kind contributions, the company donated $5,000 through its nonprofit arm, The Swinerton Foundation.
This year, Swinerton made a host of much-needed upgrades to the home of a family of six who are active in the local community. During the full-day event, many hands worked together to update all bathrooms, overhaul the kitchen, fix HVAC and electrical issues, install a new front door, repair fencing, power wash the exterior, and apply a fresh coat of paint.
In addition to the Sacramento Rebuild Day, Swinerton routinely organizes teams for other Rebuilding Together events nationally through its network of 13 offices.

DevOps is gaining traction in the federal government – and for good reasons. Heightened user expectations are pushing IT organizations to accelerate application development and support more innovation. At the same time, budgetary constraints require that agencies find ways to decrease the cost of developing, maintaining, and running applications. IT now faces a daunting task: do more and react faster than ever before – all with fewer resources.
