VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/29/14 -- More than three-quarters of all jobs openings in the province between now and 2020 will require post-secondary education, according to the BC Labour Market Outlook. Those looking for the credentials needed to compete in the current job market can learn more at CDI College's Open House on Thursday, May 8, 2014.
A positive employment outlook is expected for a range of sectors in the province, including healthcare and social services, administrative and support services, and technology. While growth in these sectors will create many new jobs, the majority of openings will come from the need to replace retiring workers. CDI College bases its career training programs on the demands of the current job market so graduates emerge with the specific skill sets employers demand and ready to meet the needs of the current job market.
"With the majority of jobs in the coming years requiring some level of post-secondary education, it's a good time to be a CDI College graduate," said Larry Heinzlmeir, Vice President of Marketing for CDI College. "Our programs provide the essential training students need to enter the workforce quickly as possible."
Guests at the Open House will have a chance to chat with instructors and get in-depth information about the college's programs. They'll also learn how curriculum is developed based on input from employers and industry insiders, taught by industry-experienced professionals and updated to meet the needs of the current job market. Along with learning about the programs guest will hear about future employment opportunities for CDI College graduates.

In the world of DevOps there are ‘known good practices’ – aka ‘patterns’ – and ‘known bad practices’ – aka ‘anti-patterns.' Many of these patterns and anti-patterns have been developed from real world experience, especially by the early adopters of DevOps theory; but many are more feasible in theory than in practice, especially for more recent entrants to the DevOps scene. In this power panel at @DevOpsSummit at 18th Cloud Expo, moderated by DevOps Conference Chair Andi Mann, panelists will dis...

See storage differently! Storage performance problems have only gotten worse and harder to solve as applications have become largely virtualized and moved to a cloud-based infrastructure. Storage performance in a virtualized environment is not just about IOPS, it is about how well that potential performance is guaranteed to individual VMs for these apps as the number of VMs keep going up real time. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Dhiraj Sehgal, in product and marketing at Tintri, will discu...
