Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation (Nasdaq: VTSS), a leading provider of advanced IC solutions for Carrier, Enterprise networks and Internet of Things (IoT) networks, announced that Martin Nuss, chief technology officer at Vitesse, will present key considerations for IoT networks migrating to Ethernet during Forum 1D “Ethernet and the Internet of Things” at Ethernet Technology Summit 2014 in Santa Clara, Calif.
Starting at 4:30 pm local time, panel discussion topics will focus using distributed intelligence for networked control and systems flexibility, along with the inherent challenges in designing Ethernet communications networks to efficiently handle these new demands. Alongside industry experts from Cisco, Ayla Networks, and Intel, Dr. Nuss will offer different perspectives and answer questions in this panel moderated by Electronics Product Magazine.
As previously announced, Dr. Nuss is also presenting in two other panel sessions during this event:
- “Securing Ethernet Networks: Authentication, Data Integrity, and Confidentiality in Ethernet Networks,” Session A-102 on Wednesday, April 30 at 9:50 am local time

Dr. Nuss has over 20 years of technical and management experience and is a recognized industry expert in Ethernet technology including timing and synchronization for public and private communications networks. Dr. Nuss serves on the board of directors for the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) and is a fellow of the Optical Society of America and IEEE member. He holds a doctorate in applied physics from the Technical University in Munich, Germany.
