WEGO Health Announces the Hire of Todd Kolm, SVP of Strategy and Insights

WEGO Health (www.wegohealth.com), an online network of consumer health opinion leaders, today announced the hire of Todd Kolm as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Insights. Kolm will assume responsibility for WEGO Health’s insights group in an effort to fully understand the perceptions, needs, barriers and opportunities of WEGO Health’s network of 65,000 patient influencers. He will also be tasked with developing strategies that enable the company to harness this vast pool of knowledge in service of forging meaningful connections with key organizations within the healthcare arena.

“Todd has been a catalyst of change within the pharmaceutical industry for the past five years – forcing eyes to open and focus on the increasing power of the patient influencer. We’re excited to welcome his world view, his patient-centric passion, and his deep industry knowledge to our company,” says Jack Barrette, WEGO Health CEO.

Kolm has over 17 years of digital health experience, most recently serving as the Vice President and Head of Global Digital Strategy at Sanofi, the French drug maker, where his worldwide responsibilities included the development of a strategy to infuse a unified digital mind-set to the company’s 110,000 employees. Prior to Sanofi, Kolm worked at Pfizer, the world’s largest pharmaceutical company, where he headed emerging channel strategy, guiding brand marketers to better understand patients in order to be able to deliver differentiation and value through digital, mobile, social and other emerging technologies.

Kolm has been a respected and persistent voice of the pharmaceutical industry’s need to put the patient at the center of its engagement efforts. He’s been a featured speaker at DTC National, ePharma Summit, Digital Pharma East, e-Patient Connections, and other prominent forums. In 2012 he was elected as a “Top 25 DTC Marketer” by DTC Perspectives.

Kolm remarked, “I’ve always been passionate about listening to the voice of the patient. In recent years this message really began to resonate within the companies where I worked. But I also recognized the barriers that exist – specifically, how difficult it is for a pharmaceutical company to have a direct relationship with patient and patient influencers. That’s what I find so appealing – and game-changing – at WEGO Health. These relationships, these powerful connections, are in place and real. The opportunity to improve healthcare across the spectrum is therefore real. And that excites me. ” (Read more about Kolm’s role with WEGO Health and the Truvio platform at https://www.wegohealth.com/about/press .)

While the focus and objectives of IoT initiatives are many and diverse, they all share a few common attributes, and one of those is the network. Commonly, that network includes the Internet, over which there isn't any real control for performance and availability. Or is there? The current state of the art for Big Data analytics, as applied to network telemetry, offers new opportunities for improving and assuring operational integrity. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Jim Frey, Vice President of S...
Given the popularity of the containers, further investment in the telco/cable industry is needed to transition existing VM-based solutions to containerized cloud native deployments. The networking architecture of the solution isolates the network traffic into different network planes (e.g., management, control, and media). This naturally makes support for multiple interfaces in container orchestration engines an indispensable requirement.
Containers are rapidly finding their way into enterprise data centers, but change is difficult. How do enterprises transform their architecture with technologies like containers without losing the reliable components of their current solutions? In his session at @DevOpsSummit at 21st Cloud Expo, Tony Campbell, Director, Educational Services at CoreOS, will explore the challenges organizations are facing today as they move to containers and go over how Kubernetes applications can deploy with lega...

Companies are harnessing data in ways we once associated with science fiction. Analysts have access to a plethora of visualization and reporting tools, but considering the vast amount of data businesses collect and limitations of CPUs, end users are forced to design their structures and systems with limitations. Until now. As the cloud toolkit to analyze data has evolved, GPUs have stepped in to massively parallel SQL, visualization and machine learning.
