CounterTack, a pioneer in delivering real-time endpoint threat detection, context and visibility around targeted attacks, today announced it has named Jim Bandanza as CRO/Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Bandanza will be responsible for defining corporate strategy and policies and overseeing operations of the Sales, Marketing and Business Development units at CounterTack.
“Jim Bandanza brings the right amount of relevant experience to CounterTack, at the right time,” said Neal Creighton, Chief Executive Officer, CounterTack. “His past involvement with some of the most well-known security organizations in today’s market further confirms his ability to help scale the distribution of CounterTack’s leading real-time endpoint threat detection and response solutions.”
With more than two decades of experience, Bandanza has extensive knowledge of field operations, including direct/indirect sales, business development, marketing, sales engineering, customer and professional services. He has valuable knowledge of all of the major and emerging markets throughout the world, and has implemented go-to-market plans accordingly to accelerate growth.
“CounterTack is truly revolutionizing enterprise security by bringing real-time attack detection and forensics to the endpoint,” explains Bandanza. “CounterTack’s real-time endpoint threat detection and response platform equips organizations with unparalleled visibility into malicious endpoint behavior, enabling organizations to make smarter decisions on countering known and unknown threats. I’m looking forward to driving our vision forward and demand for our world-class solutions.”
Prior to joining CounterTack, Bandanza served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Egenera, where he was responsible for leading the company's sales and service organizations. During his time with the company, he led the transformation of the go-to-market model to meet the needs of the company's evolving cloud-based software business. Before that, he held several executive leadership positions at RSA, The Security Division of EMC. As RSA's Senior Vice President of Field Operations, he was a critical member of the management team when EMC acquired RSA for $2.1 billion in 2005. Bandanza also held senior roles with Stream International, Versys Inc, BBN and LTX Corporation.
Bandanza is an advisor to a number of emerging technology firms, and earned his Bachelor's degree in business from Northeastern University.
CounterTack's real-time endpoint threat detection and response platform, Sentinel, delivers unprecedented visibility and context to enterprise security teams around targeted, persistent threats. CounterTack dramatically reduces the impact of advanced attacks, providing real-time, behavioral-based intelligence on attacker activity upon infiltration, so organizations can defend their business leveraging Sentinel's contextual attack evidence for a rapid, prioritized response.
By combining 'stealthware' technology and Big Data analytics, CounterTack turns the tables on attackers, giving security teams and incident responders an advantage over their adversaries to make better security decisions with real-time, automated, forensic-level analysis. CounterTack is revolutionizing how companies defend their endpoints -- across the enterprise.

The cloud has transformed how we think about software quality. Instead of preventing failures, we must focus on automatic recovery from failure. In other words, resilience trumps traditional quality measures. Continuous delivery models further squeeze traditional notions of quality. Remember the venerable project management Iron Triangle? Among time, scope, and cost, you can only fix two or quality will suffer. Only in today's DevOps world, continuous testing, integration, and deployment upend...
