Quebec Technology Association (AQT) to Host Annual Conference of North American Technology Associations

Montreal will host the members of the Technology Councils of North America (TECNA) in an exchange of best practices to support over 16,000 technology companies represented by various regional organizations in Canada and the United States

MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 05/01/14 -- The Quebec Technology Association (AQT) was chosen by the Technology Councils of North America (TECNA) as organizers of the prestigious annual conference that brings together regional technology associations from across North America. Thus, an elite group of more than 125 representatives from various organizations will meet in Montreal from July 16 to 18, 2014 to share business tactics, exchange views on current industry trends and enrich the tools they use - all in an effort to better represent their respective members. This event is held every year in a different North American city. The choice of AQT as conference host this year is an acknowledgement of its proactivity and proven ability to orchestrate major events, while highlighting the technology industry's vitality in Montreal and across the province.

For two days, leaders from approximately 50 associations throughout Canada and the United States will share their experiences, ideas and the various programs they've implemented. The goal is to inspire other regional associations to offer maximum support for the growth and innovation of their member companies and their respective ecosystems. Several associations from U.S. cities and states, including Seattle, Boston, Chicago, Florida, Texas and Oregon, have already confirmed their attendance at the event.

The conference program will address the state of the industry, best practices and the development of inter-association relationships, and feature an analysis of the impact of regional sector associations on the technology industry in general.
