NASHVILLE, TN -- (Marketwired) -- 05/01/14 -- Healthcare real estate developer OGA is adding to an already highly successful 2014 with news that it will develop a new lab for DaVita in DeLand, Florida. The new space will provide much needed growth for the lab, which currently operates out of several facilities in DeLand.
"We couldn't be more excited to be involved with this project, which is critical in nature for our client and will provide solutions for their current and future space needs," said Bond Oman, OGA's chief executive officer. "This development is a win-win for everyone. The project will provide a brand new, state of the art space for the client. It provides jobs for Floridians and for the City of DeLand. Lastly, it will add a top quality asset to the OGA portfolio."
Florida Governor Rick Scott weighed in as well. "We are proud that DaVita Labs has decided to expand here in Florida. These 100 new jobs in the area means more Floridians will be able to provide for their families. Together we are creating an opportunity economy where companies can expand and create more jobs for Florida families."
The project is expected to break ground this year, with completion slated for early-to-mid 2015.
OGA develops and manages a wide range of healthcare and other commercial properties nationwide. The company's more than 250 completed projects span the country and include cancer centers, medical office buildings, urgent care facilities, orthopaedic offices, pharmaceutical compounding and infusion suites and behavioral health facilities.
