Global colocation provider CyrusOne (NASDAQ: CONE) is pleased to announce that it plans to sponsor the Katy 5K in Dallas, Thursday, May 8. Proceeds from this event benefit Friends of the Katy Trail, the nonprofit organization founded to support and promote the Katy Trail as a recreational, educational, and transportation resource for the Dallas community.
Following the path of the old Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad, the Katy Trail is a 3.5-mile-long landscaped trail system for pedestrians, inline skaters, and bicycle riders that runs through the most densely developed section of Dallas.
“Given our global headquarters is located in the north Dallas suburb of Carrollton, we are excited to be able to show our support for the Katy Trail by sponsoring the 5K this year. The Katy Trail has become one of Dallas’s favorite outdoor spaces, and we want to see it continue to thrive for future generations,” said Scott Brueggeman, chief marketing officer, CyrusOne. “Friends of the Katy Trail does a fantastic job organizing this event. I know numerous CyrusOne employees will be participating in this year’s race.”
