SCRA sponsored three awards for Excellence in Scientific Research, won by Dr. Apparao Rao of Clemson, Dr. John Ballato of Clemson and Dr. Russell Pate of USC. SCRA Technology Ventures sponsored the Young Researcher Award for Excellence in Scientific Research, won by Dr. Brian Powell of Clemson. Dr. Pate was also selected for the Excellence in Scientific Awareness Award, sponsored by MWV.
