The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island has awarded Black Box Network Services the U.S. Army PEO-EIS, I3C2, Installation Information Infrastructure Modernization Program (I3MP) Fort Hood Phase I Hospital and Voice Modernization Project. This effort has an approximate value of $14.9 million. Fort Hood is home of the First Army West, the oldest and longest established field Army of the United States. It is also home of the 1st Cavalry Division, which is one of the most decorated combat divisions of the U.S. Army. Black Box Network Services was awarded this contract as part of the Army’s continuing efforts to modernize their networks and existing infrastructure.
“It is an honor to be selected by the Army to deliver communication capabilities that supports the Soldiers, DA civilians and their families at Fort Hood consistent with Army long range objectives,” stated Black Box Network Services – Government Solutions Senior Vice President and Regional General Manager Jeff Murray. “This project will deliver a highly capable and reliable solution supporting mission objectives and the U.S. Army Global Network Enterprise Construct.”

Black Box Network Services will provide modernization that will include outside plant improvements, a new communications shelter and a unified communications capable voice switch with voice mail and audio conferencing capability.
