PunchTab Adds CPG and Retail Leader Adam Kmiec to Advisory Board

New Advisor Brings In-Depth Corporate Experience and Marketing Expertise to the Omni-Channel Engagement and Insights Leader

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwired - May 06, 2014) - PunchTab, the leading omni-channel engagement and insights platform, today announced the appointment of Adam Kmiec to PunchTab's Board of Advisors. This newest addition brings digital expertise in CPG and retail, and the understanding of how these verticals must adapt to the changing consumer landscape.

For over 15 years, Adam Kmiec has worked for some of the most forward thinking organizations in the world, while helping some of the most dynamic brands find success in the interactive and social space.

"As a company that markets to marketers, having someone like Adam who speaks the language and understands the pain points of a marketer from a very intimate experience is invaluable," said Ranjith Kumaran, PunchTab Founder and CEO. "We know Adam will weigh in on emerging trends in marketing and social media, offer insights as to potential market impacts, and share thoughts on how to best enable our customers to create effective engagement and insights campaigns, especially in retail and CPG environments."

Kmiec has helped a variety of consumer brands establish and expand their digital marketing efforts, which aligns perfectly with PunchTab's ongoing effort to help brands track and understand consumer behavior, engage users, and glean actionable insights via their omni-channel platform.

"A major focus of our growth strategy is to strengthen our understanding of the roadblocks marketers in CPG, retail, and entertainment face while seeking to increase engagement, advocacy, and purchase. Adam will play an important role in this effort."

"I'm proud to join a quickly growing technology company like PunchTab," said Kmiec. "Our opportunity to engage consumers in new and innovative ways is limitless. I'm excited to be part of an organization that understands how to help marketers get the most out of their customer touch points and leverage my experience to help PunchTab develop an even stronger omni-channel platform that meets real world needs."

The PunchTab advisory role is Kmiec's latest, though he also serves in an advisory position at Zemanta Unmetric, and Assurant Solutions. Kmiec currently serves as Senior Director, Social Media and Content at Walgreens, after his role at Campbell Soup Company where he served as Global Digital Marketing and Social Media. Kmiec possesses deep knowledge of retail, CPG, and agency organizations, key verticals for PunchTab. Prior to Walgreens and Campbell, Kmiec was Senior Vice President of Interactive Marketing Innovation at Pittsburgh-based MARC USA. Prior to that, he held the role of Manager of Interactive Marketing at ConAgra Foods. Earlier in his career, Kmiec worked for Draft Worldwide, Leo Burnett and Fallon.

Kmiec earned his bachelor of science degree in business, marketing and advertising from the University of Minnesota. He is a regular speaker at industry conferences.

DevOps is under attack because developers don’t want to mess with infrastructure. They will happily own their code into production, but want to use platforms instead of raw automation. That’s changing the landscape that we understand as DevOps with both architecture concepts (CloudNative) and process redefinition (SRE). Rob Hirschfeld’s recent work in Kubernetes operations has led to the conclusion that containers and related platforms have changed the way we should be thinking about DevOps and...

The next XaaS is CICDaaS. Why? Because CICD saves developers a huge amount of time. CD is an especially great option for projects that require multiple and frequent contributions to be integrated. The only way to get CICD to work in a highly secure environment takes collaboration, patience and persistence. Building CICD in the cloud requires rigorous ar...
Companies are harnessing data in ways we once associated with science fiction. Analysts have access to a plethora of visualization and reporting tools, but considering the vast amount of data businesses collect and limitations of CPUs, end users are forced to design their structures and systems with limitations. Until now. As the cloud toolkit to analyze data has evolved, GPUs have stepped in to massively parallel SQL, visualization and machine learning.

Large industrial manufacturing organizations are adopting the agile principles of cloud software companies. The industrial manufacturing development process has not scaled over time.
