SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/06/14 -- Canadian-based modern furniture company, EQ3, is thrilled to announce the opening of its new retail showroom in San Francisco's emerging Design District. The doors officially open May 31st, 2014. EQ3's partnership with Finnish design house, Marimekko, will continue in the new San Francisco space with a curated shop-in-shop within the showroom. The location will house EQ3's signature custom-made upholstered designs and home furnishings, along with its EQ3+ line, a handpicked selection of internationally renowned products from iconic brands like Herman Miller and Alessi.
"We are proud to be joining San Francisco's design district neighborhood -- it's a dynamic area of history and textiles in San Francisco and is known as the ultimate furniture shopping destination," explains Peter Tielmann, President and CEO of EQ3.
The newly renovated 12,000 sq ft EQ3 showroom transforms the original warehouse building into a space that balances EQ3's modern aesthetic with the industrial nature of the historic structure. Designed by EQ3's Creative Director, Thom Fougere, the flagship features two distinct areas: the front half of the showroom showcasing EQ3's accessory boutique alongside highlights from EQ3's furniture line, and the second half exhibiting EQ3's entire furniture collection throughout a spacious and minimalist space.
EQ3 is continuing its shop-in-shop experience with Marimekko, the textile and clothing design company internationally renowned for its original prints and vibrant colors. This space will offer a curated selection of the Finnish company's products, including fabric by the meter, bedding, shower curtains, tableware, kitchen linens, and pillows. Most notably, Marimekko graphic textiles will be available for purchase and application on EQ3's upholstery collections.
"We are thrilled to be expanding our partnership with EQ3", said Isabelle Cadieux-Fabian, President, Marimekko North America. "Marimekko has a rich history in San Francisco and with this newest Shop-in-Shop we will see the iconic prints return, along with new designs and an ever changing color pallet".
EQ3 proudly continues its tradition of offering affordable modern designs.
New products to be floored at the San Francisco location include dining options for a variety of spaces. The modern Mesa Dinette Table boasts a solid marble top and iron sheet metal legs. The Farmhouse Table, constructed from planks of white oak, and the Kendall Custom Dining Table, available in two teak top size options, are both rustic yet refined.
New and notable upholstery includes two bench seating options. Blanche, the first slipcover collection from EQ3, is exclusively offered in undyed Belgian linen with feather filled seating. In contrast, Eve is available in over 150 fabrics and leathers and depicts a clean metropolitan aesthetic complimented by a solid aluminum leg.
Uniquely shown on the EQ3 San Francisco floor, Herman Miller's Eames Chaise encourages relaxation. Available in a variety of finish options, the Eames Aluminum Group Lounge Chair and Ottoman Outdoor, offer maximum comfort with a minimal profile.
A collection of carefully-designed yet reasonably priced products that are essential for the home, EQ3 Basics range from linens to kitchen necessities, like tableware, glassware and flatware.
Founded in 2001, EQ3 is a Canadian-based company committed to quality craftsmanship. As a vertically integrated company, EQ3 specializes in contemporary design for everyday life with simple, clean, functional furnishings and home accents for every room. EQ3 offers EQ3+, a designer line featuring iconic brands like Herman Miller, and more. DevOps is being widely accepted (if not fully adopted) as essential in enterprise IT. But as Enterprise DevOps gains maturity, expands scope, and increases velocity, the need for data-driven decisions across teams becomes more acute. DevOps teams in any modern business must wrangle the ‘digital exhaust’ from the delivery toolchain, "pervasive" and "cognitive" computing, APIs and services, mobile devices and applications, the Internet of Things, and now even blockchain. In this power panel at @...
