MomentFeed Launches First Solution to Help Brands Manage Facebook Ratings and Reviews

90% of Consumers Say Online Reviews Impact Buying Decisions, but Marketers Need Solutions to Easily Monitor and Respond to Online Reviews in One Central Location

SANTA MONICA, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/07/14 -- MomentFeed, the digital marketing platform that connects brands and consumers at the local level, today introduced a solution for brands to manage the Facebook ratings and reviews from all their business locations in one single place.

The new capabilities add another level of convenience for brands already on the MomentFeed platform -- such as 7-Eleven, JCPenney and The Home Depot -- to capture local audiences, engage with consumers in authentic and locally relevant ways and measure performance down to the point of sale. MomentFeed's solution is the first to unify ratings and reviews across every local Facebook page. Brands can now sort all customer reviews based on their corresponding star ratings and even respond. MomentFeed also brings together Instagram photos, Facebook posts, Foursquare tips and tweets.

Facebook local pages have continued to gain an increasing share of the online search and reviews market. According to a 2013 comScore study, Facebook is the number two mobile app for local search behind only Google Maps. While consumers can leave reviews on any local Facebook page, brands have traditionally had no easy way to see the reviews. Even brands with tens, hundreds or thousands of locations would need to visit each separate local page to respond to reviews and ratings.

Recent studies have shown that ratings and reviews are a crucial piece of information in the buying decisions of consumers. A 2013 study by BrightLocal determined that 85 percent of consumers read online reviews for local business, and Dimensional Research reports that 90 percent of consumers attest that online reviews impact buying decisions.
